On Wednesday, Raymond residents will have their first opportunity to look at the proposed 2006-2007 school budget.
In two separate public meetings at Raymond Elementary School, the budget will be the topic of discussion.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the first meeting will give board members a chance to see the fourth draft of the budget and review recommended changes. Some of the changes include a reduction in operations and maintenance, changes to the special education department and the possible elimination of a teacher position.
The second meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m., is a public forum on the budget. Copies of the budget will be available and residents are encouraged to attend.
