Sean Murphy hit 23 of 25 free throws to win the 12 & 13 year old boys division of the Elks Hoop Shot state finals Sunday in Augusta. The Westbrook resident came home with the Amos A. McCallum trophy as the best male shooter in the competition and will represent Maine at the regionals in Nashua, NH, in March. Murphy, who is used to the spotlight after having played in the Little League World Series last summer, is sponsored by Elks Club 188 in Portland.
