Now that both Lowe’s and Home Depot are in Windham, do you think they can both survive?

“I think that they can but I think Home Depot will do the better job because it always has.”

Charles Rice

Building contractor and real estate sales agent

Raymond

“Absolutely. Yes. Because you used to have to drive all the way to Auburn or all the way to Portland to get to the closest ones. I think being in Windham, they’ll get a lot of customers from the Naples and Casco area and up in Standish. Rather than driving all the way to Auburn, they’ll come here.”

“I imagine they’ll be pretty competitive. But lasting – a lot of times there’s a big place that’s out of stuff where the other place has it – it could work either way.”

“I think they probably both will because there’s always a lot of competition. But I have to say this is the first time we’ve been in here – it’s a much cleaner much more open space, easy to find things. I think this might be my favorite.”

Graham Smith

Student

Casco

“Lowe’s might be in a more convenient spot since it’s near most all the other stores and if some guy remembers that he needs something, Lowe’s is right there.”

“I think they’ll both survive but there’s going to be some competition, which I think is great for us. I just love that we can now come to North Windham and not have to go into Portland for these quick things when we have projects at home.”
