Mary Bouchard has returned home after spending a week in Barefoot Bay, Florida which is located on the East Coast of the state. She visited her friend Joan Hully and had a great time.
Meeting
A reminder that the Rebekahs will hold their February meeting on Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall. They will make baskets and Valentines for the three members who are in nursing homes.
Anniversary
Walter and May Lunt celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Jan. 26. They spent some time celebrating with family members.
Meeting
There will not be any Health Council meeting in February. It was scheduled for Feb. 1. They usually meet the first Wednesday of each month.
Reminder
The Windham Historical Society will meet Jan. 28 at the Windham Public Libray. The meeting will take place at 2 p.m.
Dinner
Paul and Betty Estes and their friends Will and Gracie Dove enjoyed dinner recently at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. This was a fund-raiser with NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon. The Estes’ tickets were a gift from their daughter and son-in-law, Lew and Joanne Weatherby. This was a dream come true for Betty, a loyal Gordon fan.
Library
Now through Feb. 24, there will be a collection of Russian lacquer and wooden painted boxes on display at the Windham Public Library. This is a collection belonging to Louis Sinclair of Windham. Also on display are items used in making the boxes.
Pet Food
Don’t forget to drop off some pet food Jan. 28 for pet food donation day. This will be held at the Kennel Shop in Shaws Plaza from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, contact Barbara Muir at 892-6096.
