Ready to see some snowmobilers ride the sky?
The Braaap Pack, a team of young daring sno-cross professionals, will be showing off their insane freestyle stunts at Raymond Beach on Saturday and Sunday during DerbyFest.
These extreme athletes fly high 30-feet in the air to perform incredible feats and are the snowmobile industry’s 1st Freestyle Snowmobile Team.
This year, the Braaap Pack is stronger than ever with a new team captain and several talented Canadian professionals.
Team captain Nathan “Monster” Moncref, 18, Kenora, Ontario, is a veteran of the Braaap Pack whose father got him hooked on snowmobiling when he was young.
Jeff Mullin, an 18-year-old rider from Kipawa, Quebec, is an avid moto-cross biker who started jumping sleds because of the long winters in Quebec.
Freddy Picotte is an 18-year-old rider from Timmins, Ontario whose aspiration is to “do something no one has ever done before on a snowmobile.”
“There’s a really good group dynamic,” says Jesse Passin, manager of the Braaap Pack, “They’re really fun and just jazzed to be out there doing this.”
These riders work together to create the most fantastic freestyle flips and tricks ever performed on Arctic Cat Snowmobiles. Their hang-time tricks include the “Superman” where riders release from their snowmobiles, hang on to the handles and literally fly; and the “Bar Hop” where riders shoot their legs through their arms while in mid-air.
The team plans to debut a new trick, the “Rock Solid,” at the Sebago Lake Rotary Fishing Derby, their first stop on an international tour. You’ll have to go to the derby to see exactly what this crazy new trick is!
The Braaap Pack has now grown to become one of the industries leading professional freestyle snowmobile teams that perform and compete across North America.
