Wiechman honored

Bonny Eagle’s John Wiechman was presented with the Fitzpatrick Trophy at Portland’s Holiday Inn by the Bay Sunday. The award, given to Maine’s top senior football player, is in recognition of the running back’s contributions to the Scots back-to-back Class A state titles. Wiechman, who was also a key defender for his team, is the first player from Bonny Eagle to receive the honor, though Scots’ quarterback Matt O’Donnell was a finalist last year.
