Police are investigating a Christmas night spree of vandalism that left at pellet holes in at a number of Main Street businesses.
The Westbrook Police said officers found holes that apparently were caused by a pellet gun in at least 13 Main Street businesses Sunday night.
Police Chief Paul McCarthy said the police are actively investigating the incidents and they do not have any suspects. He said he does not believe the vandalism on Christmas was related in any way to a spree of vandalism earlier this summer were a number of businesses on Main Street had their windows smashed by rocks.
McCarthy said it is unusual for so many windows to be broken with a weapon like a pellet gun. “It’s not common at all,” he said.
