Windham Adult Education and Gray-New Gloucester Adult Education in conjunction with the MELMAC Foundation have developed a comprehensive program designed to assist adults in the region to enroll in college.
The skills needed to compete in the ever-changing employment market require training above the high school level. Taking on advanced training in addition to the responsibilities of work and family requires planning, but it can be done. Adult Education programs can help by providing information about the enrollment process, guidance evaluating career options, building academic skills, and teaching strategies to promote effective learning.
In addition to the college preparatory courses in math, writing and science both program provide career advising, informational workshops on the college admission and financial aid processes, help with placement testing, and arranging college visits.
