Saint Joseph’s College announced the launch of its new magazine on Dec. 5.
The first issue of the Saint Joseph’s College Magazine includes interviews with the school’s marine science professors on the health of the Gulf of Maine, a story on student internships at Portland-area businesses, and a piece on the progressive philosophy of the college’s food vendor, Bon AppA?©tit, a company that embraces sustainable food practices and local suppliers. It also features an intimate portrayal of baseball coach Will Sanborn of Standish.
The feature-focused magazine replaces a tabloid newspaper published for many years at the college. The editor is Charmaine Daniels of Windham and the designer is Jeanne Lavoie of Gorham. William McCarthy of Auburn, who heads marketing and public relations at Saint Joseph’s, directs the photography.
