Coach’s outlook: “We are a small, young team, but have already shown big strides of improvement early in the year. This is only the school’s third year with a varsity program, so we are continuing to build for the future.”

Key concern: “Distance running will be our strength once again. Our sprint team should be very solid. We need someone to step it up in the jumps and the throws to be a more complete team.”

Coach’s outlook: “The season is going to be an exciting one. I feel we are a championship-caliber team this season if we stay injury-free and continue working hard in practice each day. We have several state meet scorers returning this season and have other experienced athletes on the team that have competed in the state meet.”

Key concern: “I have a large senior class this year, but a lot of newcomers to prepare for the seniors’ replacements! I have to work on a lot of basic skills with most of the newcomers, and not as much with the majority of returning girls.”

Coach’s outlook: “We had 29 girls try out for the team this year; that’s about twice as many girls as we’ve seen in years past! This season our team’s talent exceeds previous years. We have more solid players who have years of skating and/or playing experience. It’s hard to set expectaions this early in the season though; you never know what your opponent has brought in.”
