Meeting

The Rebekahs will meet Dec. 7 at the Odd fellows Hall at 7:30 p.m. This will be Founders Night and the program will be about Thomas Wilder and Schuyler Colfax, the founders of the Odd Fellows and the Rebekahs. The refreshments will be Corn Chowder.

Thanksgiving

Tudy Haskell entertained some family members for Thanksgiving dinner. The guests included Mike and Tammy Haskell and Elsie Haskell.

Dogs

This is a reminder that you must license your dogs by Dec. 31 at the Town Clerk’s office. The cost is $6 for a spayed or neutered dog and $10 if they can reproduce. There is also a rabies clinic in the community center gym on December

3 from 9 to 11 a.m. The veterinarian will be Dr. Griffin from the Lake Region Animal Hospital. You can also register your dogs that day.

Pet Food

Barbara Muir will hold another “pet food” donation day Nov. 26. It will be in the Shaw’s Plaza at the Kennel Shop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This food goes to the Windham Food Pantry for people who need help in feeding their pets.

Veterans

Mr. Robin Shepard, the State of Maine Veterans Advocate, will now be at the Windham Veterans Center the second Wednesday of each month. He will be there on Dec. 7 from 9 to 11 a.m. to assist veterans in applying for benefits. There is no charge and no appointment is necessary.

The Windham Health Council will meet Dec. 7 at the home of Dot Millett at 1 p.m. This will be their annual Christmas party. Refreshments will be served.

Family Thanksgiving

David and Joan Tobin hosted a family Thanksgiving dinner. Those attending were: Bridget, David, Hannah and Maura Gallagher of Windham; Colleen and Leo Tinkham of Connecticut; Edwin Hawkes of Portland and Jim and Ginny Tobin of Gray and their son, Terry of Florida.
