In an effort to help the committee studying solutions for parking problems downtown, the city will be holding an all-day presentation to gather ideas from residents.

Billed as a community fair, the event will run from 11:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 at the Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church on Main Street. Residents, property owners, and members of the business community are encouraged to come to the event so they can learn about what is being done to improve parking and give their own ideas about what could be done.

Residents will have the opportunity to meet members of the committee studying parking in the city, look at interactive informational displays, and participate in a raffle for various prizes. There will also be presentations from Gorrill-Palmer Consulting Engineers, the firm that is working with the city on the downtown parking study. The presentations will be held at noon and 6 p.m.

For more information on the event, visit the city’s Web site at www.westbrookmaine.com or call 854-0638.
