I want to add my voice to the many who have written in support of Brendan Rielly for Ward One City Council. By any measure, Councilor Rielly deserves to be re-elected to our Westbrook City Council.
As one who has attended a good number of council meetings, I can attest that Councilor Rielly is always well informed of matters before the council, and he is adept at getting to the crux of complex issues. The meetings he chairs are well run, and he treats everyone with dignity. I was very impressed, and appreciative of his role in a recent meeting that addressed concerns regarding the SAPPI mill’s decision to burn construction waste.
We all know of Brendan’s involvement with community affairs beyond his responsibilities as Councilor. He is active in the educational and cultural interests of Westbrook. I must say how much I appreciate his letters to this newspaper, acknowledging an outstanding Westbrook citizen who has served this community.
With Brendan Rielly on our council, we can be assured of continued good governance for Westbrook.
