Have you experienced brushes with the supernatural?

“A year and a half ago I was putting on my eye shadow and my grandmother appeared in my bathroom sink. She was smiling and laughing just letting me know she was in a good place and happy.”

“I was downstairs in the embalming room of a funeral home picking up a relative who works there. All of a sudden a body that was on a cart sat straight up and fell back down. It freaked me out and turned my even more white. My relative said it was nerves twitching after the guy was dead, I don’t know.”
Pam Gouvin, 44, Standish
“Once my daughter was sick and we were taking her to the hospital and out front of the hospital some stranger took my hand and told me everything was going to be okay. Nobody saw him except me, though.”
Sonya Bean, 73, Standish
“I was going down on route 25 in 1969 to visit my mother and I saw four or five UFOs swaying back and forth over the road in the sky. Once I got home I told my kids to look out the window and tell me you don’t believe in UFOs.”
John Rose, 40, Bridgton
“In 2002, I was working at an assisted living home in Johnston, Rhode Island and I heard a noise in the upstairs apartment around 2 a.m. No one lived up there and that afternoon I checked and it was locked and I was the only one with a key. When I went up to look, all the lights were on and the shower was running but all the windows and doors was still locked. After talking to other staff members, I found it had happened multiple times before. It was 200-year-old house that was converted.”
Barbara Williams, 53, Casco
“I was a paranormal investigator in Boston, and I can tell you they’re out there. We did a lot of house, institution and cemetery sites. Ghosts look like us. The interaction is the same as it is between you and me. Sometimes it happens when you’re more receptive to know somebody who shouldn’t be there is actually there.
I’ve also had people who have died come back and relay information to me to resolve something that wasn’t resolved in their life. Sometimes it’s wonderful; sometimes it’s frightening. Knowing about these things, however, takes the fear of dying away.
It’s not scary. Everyone is capable of seeing what is beyond. But I think some people are scared to death of it. But they shouldn’t be. If you bring negative energy into it, the interaction isn’t very pleasant. That’s the barrier of making connections. If you come from a negative place, you’re going to get negativity. But if you come from a place of light, that’s what you meet.”

“When I was 13, I was with my friends in a camper trailer and we had a sA?©ance to call the spirit of Mary Wentworth. After we chanted for a while, her silhouette appeared on the side of the pop-up camper in a damp spot on the canvas. I remember she had an old bonnet hat and you could see her torso. We got scared and went back in the house. Also, my parents used to rent a house on Raymond Cape Road and strange things would happen there. Door latches would open and the doors would swing slowly open. Doors would slam. Rocking chairs would move across the room overnight. It was weird.”
