Main Street in Westbrook will be taken over by ghosts and goblins on Oct. 28 as the Westbrook Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Halloween on Main Street.
Main Street will be closed to traffic from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the afternoon of the event. The Westbrook Chamber said children of all ages would be able to safely trick or treat at businesses up and down Main Street.
The event is always a popular one. Last year’s Halloween on Main Street drew approximately 5,000 people from Westbrook and surrounding communities. Kids and adults are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the festivities.
In order to accommodate the event, Main Street will be closed from Spring Street to Mechanic Street said Chamber of Commerce President Darryl Wright.
