Brendan Rielly is a councilor who works hard for the city of Westbrook. No one in city government works harder for the betterment of the Westbrook Community. But more important, Councilor Rielly is interested in the individual citizens of Westbrook. When I had occasion to deal personally with an issue concerning a city of Westbrook regulating committee, I was able to reach Councilor Rielly, and he was more than willing to listen, and to help.

Councilor Rielly, a high honors graduate of the University of Notre Dame, is an intelligent and well-educated young man. He has worked tirelessly in moving forward important issues in Westbrook such as Westbrook’s Economic Summit to help spur the local economy, the Riverwalk Arts Festival, the additional site plan restrictions to help balance economic development while still protecting neighborhoods, and the institution of best practices in city government where Westbrook can learn what policies work effectively in other communities. When speaking with Brendan, it becomes immediately apparent that he is a compassionate young man, a family man of the highest character, which is further reflected in his work as a Sunday school teacher, and as a leader in the Rebuilding Together program to renovate low income family homes.

In addition to, and perhaps most important of all these efforts, is the fact that Brendan cares about people – about each and every citizen of Westbrook. He will listen to you when you need him, and he will represent you well.
