The Gorham Business & Civic Exchange has invited all candidates seeking election for Gorham’s Town Council and School Committee to take part in an informal panel discussion from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Portland Faith Center.

The organization has invited Town Council candidates Harold E. Freeman Jr., David J. Homa and Shonn R. Moulton, as well as incumbents Michael Phinney and Jane S. Willet. Those candidates are running for three seats on the Town Council.

The participating School Committee candidates include Steven R. Caldwell and Dennis C. Libby, as well as write in candidates Michael Chandler, Janet Williams and Melinda Shain.

Gorham Business & Civic Exchange President Judy Brown will moderate the event. The presentation will be held at The Portland Faith Center, 8 Elkins Drive, on New Portland Road, in Gorham. The public is encouraged to attend and there is no charge. It’s a brown bag lunch and beverages will be provided. There is plenty of seating and free parking available.
