All letters must be signed and include contact numbers, as is our policy for all letters. But we also ask that if you’re campaigning for the candidate in an official capacity, i.e., on board as treasurer or campaign director, or are related to the candidate, you identify yourself.
We reserve the right to not publish letters from members of the candidate’s campaign committee and the candidate’s immediate family.
We reserve the right not to print personal attacks.
We will cut off all letters critical of a candidate two weeks prior to the election to give those candidates criticized an opportunity to respond.
If you have something to say the week before the election, keep it positive. Letters should be no more than 250 words long.
