Chickadee Rose Red Hats hosted a pool party at member Princess Rita Casey’s home in Gorham. Everyone enjoyed the nice sunny day, sharing food, friendship and cooling off in the pool. There was entertainment by Michael who set up his sound equipment, played guitar and sang songs for the ladies by the pool.

It was attended by Queen Mother Jeanette DiPietrantonio and Vice-Queen Sandy Aceto and several members of the Chickadee Rose Red Hats. Queen Mother Phyllis Crowley and several members of The Longfellow Sweethearts of Westbrook were guests.

Mena Yarnold of The Royal River Chickadees was also there. She shared news clippings about her chapter and also the book with the poem that inspired The Red Hat Society – Jenny Joseph’s poem “When I Am An Old Woman.”

The group had a very special guest, the mascot of The 1st Ladies of the Lakes Chapter from Naples. She was a huge hit with all the ladies! Everyone had a really good time. Everyone is looking forward to next year’s pool party.
