SLRCC Business Break Networking Program

It’s a Celebration! This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Business Break Program in our Region. The Business Break was founded on the philosophy of a networking/social opportunity for businesses in the region to gather and network in a strictly social atmosphere after business hours. Through the years, this event has evolved on a continuing basis with Chamber business members hosting the monthly break at their business location and showcasing the building that holds the products and services available for clients.

Each month the break moves through the communities in the region. Highlights of the event include a welcome address of the business owner and staff that are present, a 50/50 fundraising raffle that sends dollars to a local charity as a choice of the host business, a drawing of a business profile that will be placed in the next Chamber newsletter, drawings for various products and services provided by local business members, all through a drop of a business card into the raffle basket.

The Business Break Committee will be holding a special Business Break Celebration on September 8 from 6-9 p.m. on the Songo River Queen in Naples. This event will be sponsored by Gorham Savings Bank. A Hawaiian Theme will provide a special atmosphere for the evening cruise, music will be provided and refreshments will be served. Cost per person is $10 and the proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will go to the local Food Pantries in the Region. FMI and ticket purchases please contact the Chamber at 892-8265.

The September Business Break will be held at Advanced Dental Concepts, 744 Roosevelt Trail, Suite 104, Windham on September 28 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. If you are a business in the Region please mark your calendars and plan on joining us for these networking socials in September.
