I would like to personally congratulate the Scarborough Little League Junior Girls Softball Maine State Champions 2005.These outstanding athletes just returned from the Little League Junior Regional Tournament held in Syracuse, New York. The girls played outstanding ending with a 3-2 record in pool play.

This group of girls since 2002 has won collectively seven district titles, five state titles and has made three regional tournament appearances. This group’s performance representing Scarborough and Scarborough Little League has been dominating.

I would first like to thank this year’s team, Shannon Eddy, Jen Colpitts, Heather Carrier, Reegan Brackett, Jordan Finley, Liz Shaw, Katie Horgan, Shannon Stone, Abbey Pelletier, Emily Norton, Katie Funk and Alexis Garrison. This teams efforts and commitment to the game was outstanding. I would also like to thank the player’s parents for their support and giving such great kids to work with.

Second I would like to thank our corporate sponsors who helped make our tournament travel plans possible this year; Scarborough Youth Sports, Jones and Warren, Kiwanis of Scarborough, Hannaford Stores, Saco and Biddeford Savings and Loan, Moody Collision Centers, Virtual Sales Group.
