Surprise Shower
On Thursday, July 28, there was a surprise baby shower for Tammy Hodgkins. It was given by her sister, Judy Vance, and held at the Vance home in Wndham. This was a total surprise for Tammy. Those attending were Winona Hodgkins, Jenessa Vance, Jenelle Vance, Judy Vance, Joanne Vance, Susan Dumond, Lynda McDonald, Jessica McDonald, Dawn Parker, Amanda Thomes, Lynn Cobb, Marie Floyd, Julie Garrison, Ruth Huntley, Peg Fletcher and of course, Tammy. Those who could not attend were: Aunt Althea Vainio and Grammy Julie McDonald. The refreshments served were punch and cake.
At Camp
Elsie Haskell spent a week recently at her camp on Schoodic Lake in Brownville. She had a great week and swam every day.
BBQ
Local Rebekahs attended a chicken barbeque and auction on August 6 in Auburn. It was a benefit for the Odd Fellows Home in Auburn.
Birthday
Wes Mason celebrated his 91st birthday on July 27th. His son, Bill, came and took him to Cole Farms for lunch. The next day, his wife cooked a big dinner for him.
Qualify
Oliver, Edwin and Millie Winship all went to Fryeburg for the 4-H State Show recently. They all qualified to go to Eastern States at Springfield, Massachusetts in September. They all have Holsteins and Edwin has Red Holsteins.
Library Closed
The Windham Public Library will be closed August 18 and 19. No materials will be due on those days. The library will be open on Saturday, August 20 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Birthday
Norman Forbes is celebrating his birthday today, August 12. They will have a small family party.
