Reunion
The Windham High School Class of 1980 is having their 25th class reunion on August 20. They are beginning the day with a continental breakfast at the new High School, followed by a cruise on Casco Bay in the afternoon. They will finish the day with their banquet at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. Veterans
The State of Maine Veterans Advocate, Mr. Robin Shepard, will be available from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Veterans Center on August 10. He will be able to assist veterans in applying for benefits. There is no charge and no appointments are necessary.
At Fryeburg
Alan O’Brien went to Fryeburg July 23-24 to show his four Jerseys. He qualified three of the four for the Eastern States in September at Springfield, Massachusetts. He can only take one, so he has a choice to make.
Visits
Coco Wong recently had a visit from an old friend from Spring Hill, Florida. Sherry Shaw and her friend, Dick Wright, came for 10 days to visit her family. Sherry, originally from Windham, and Coco have been friends since school.
Birthday
Phil Moody celebrated his birthday on August 3. He spent the day at their home on the island as he and his wife, Cora, did on their anniversary. On the 4th he came home for Kiwanis and on Friday, today, he is baking beans for the supper at the Windham Hill Church.
Anniversary
John and Kathy Boyden celebrated their 40th anniversary on July 24th. Their daughter, Sheila Corey and her husband, Patrick, hosted a surprise party for them on July 16 with about 30 friends and family attending. They then spent four days in Quebec, a gift from the family.
Reunion
The Windham High School class of 1960 will hold their reunion at the Town & Country Motor Inn in Shelburne, New Hampshire the weekend of August 12 & 13. If you just want to drive up to visit on Saturday feel free to do so. For more information contact Janet Waterhouse at 892-8005.
