Nomination papers for Scarborough Town Council, Board of Education and the Sanitary District Trustees are now available at Town Hall.
Up for election are three Town Council seats, three school board seats, and three seats on the Sanitary District board.
Incumbents on the Town Council are Shawn Babine, Jeff Messer and Sylvia Most. Babine, who has served for one term, and Most, who has served one term plus a partial term, have not decided if they plan on running again. Messer, who has served two consecutive terms, plus another two years previously, said he would run in the next election.
Incumbents on the school board are Christopher Brownsey and Walter Hansen. In addition, Linda Gordius is resigning her term a year early because she is moving to New Hampshire. The remainder of her term will be up for election in November. Brownsey said he plans on running for reelection. Hanson, who has served one term, said he would not run again.
Incumbents on the Sanitary District board are Charles Andreson, James Pandiscio and John Tarbell. Andreson, who has served for one full term plus a partial term, said he will seek reelection and Pandiscio, who has served one term, said he is 99 percent sure he will run. Tarbell is not sure if he will run again.
Papers are due back to the Town Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 7, by 6:30 p.m.
