Several Windham community service organizations, along with local churches, have organized into a group called Food & Fellowship, Inc. They began a program called “Monday Meal”, about four or five years ago. It started out with the idea of a free meal offered to local residents, as a chance for people to get to meet other folks in the town, as well as enjoy a home-cooked meal.
This has now turned into “Monday Meals” and is held every Monday at 5:30 p.m. There is still no charge and many people now attend.
It is held on the 1st and 2nd Mondays at the Assembly of God Church, 1051 Roosevelt Trail; and on the 3rd and 4th Monday in the Fellowship Hall of Windham Hill United Church of Christ, on Windham Center Road.
Singles, families, senior citizens – all are welcome! Be prepared to enjoy! For more information, call 893-1777.
