Don’t miss singer and songwriter Rick Charette’s return to Windham Hill UCC’s Music on the Hill – with a special appearance by Al the Alligator – on July 9 starting at 7 p.m. at the church. This is a definite “must-see” for children and families. Charette blends original contemporary pop music and lyrics with imaginative activities – many that will include audience participation. Roy Clark is Charette’s accompanist.

A lifelong resident of Maine, Charette graduated from the University of Southern Maine with degrees in Music Education and English. He has traveled throughout the United States and Canada, performing at schools and concert halls, and has been the keynote speaker at various educational conferences.

Charette has released 10 albums, two children’s picture books and two live concert videos, which are distributed nationally and have sold over a quarter million copies to date. His newest collection of original songs – entitled King Kong Chair – is his tenth album, and was released in March 2004. CDs will be available for purchase at the concert.
