When I was stricken with a bacterial infection during the course of my campaign for the East District Town Council seat and was laid up in the hospital for nine days, I was amazed by the number of people that came to the aid of myself and my family. My wife and daughter bravely picked up where I left off with my campaign and many people, some of whom I don’t even know, helped them to distribute information and kept the campaign going until election day.
I am so thankful for the hospital visits by Mark and Diane Bryant and the efforts that members of the Windham Democratic Committee, particularly Michael Shaughnessy and family, put in on my behalf. To those of you who went out after election day and collected my tattered campaign signs, thank you so much. Windham really does cover a big area and chasing after signs all across Town is no mean feat.
Friends and neighbors in the Highland Lake community and beyond have been incredible with their emotional support, home-cooked meals, and the “heavy lifting” we needed to complete chores at our home. You all really stepped up in our time of need and we will be eternally grateful.
