In May and June, citizens throughout Maine have partnered with the U.S. Postal Service to support breast cancer research through purchases of the USPS Breast Cancer Research Stamp. For the past seven weeks, the Postal Service has been sponsoring a special “Circle of Hope” promotion, asking customers to consider purchasing Breast Cancer Research Stamps, and the response of Maine citizens has been overwhelmingly positive, especially in Windham, which has sold over $12,000 worth of Breast Cancer Research stamps.

“We’d like to thank Maine customers for their support of this important fund raising initiative,” said Maine District Manager Elizabeth Johnson. “All of us know someone whose life has been touched by cancer. Using these stamps is an important way to send a message of hope, care, and support of cancer survivors on your daily mail, and it’s also a great way to help raise significant funds to find a cure for this disease.”
