Roberta Hall turned 50 recently and there was a surprise birthday party for her on May 27 at Thatcher’s Restaurant. The party was planned by Carl Hinkson. Everyone had a great time and the food was very good.

Patrick Philpot, son of Raymond and Gloria Philpot, is home for the summer from Middlebury College. He will return in the fall as a senior in the Pre-Med program. This summer he is employed at the Dairy Queen.
Attend Meeting
Elsie Haskell and Josie Morrell recently visited the Ivy Rebekah Lodge in Portland. There was a workshop on the laws of the Rebekahs.
Visits
George Libby of New York visited over the Memorial Day weekend. He is still recuperating from surgery but is improving day by day. While here he stayed with his mother Beulah Mason on Varney Mill Road.
Reunion
The Windham High School Class of 1980 is planning their 20th reunion for August 20. There will be activities all day and a banquet at the Holiday Inn by the Bay at night. They are missing the following classmates: Leland Weeks, Coletta Lucas, Timothy Bailey, Stephen Brown, James Rochette, Diana Shay, Holly Bracy Glen, Janice Maclearn Chapman, Terry Nichols Barfield, John Beers, David Butts and James Libby. Sale
The Windham Hill UCC Church will hold their annual yard and plant sale on Saturday, June 4, from 9-2. The rain date is June 11. It will be at 724 River Road and some of the items are good furniture, housewares, a crib, toys, books and games.
Reunion
The Windham High School of 1948 will hold their class reunion August 13 at Julien’s Restaurant. There will be a get-together and a dinner from 12-4. The chairman of the committee is Wally Wyman and other committee members are Arkie Rogers, Audrey Kimball Woodbrey, Lorraine Doiron Demmons and Wes McClellan. They had their last meeting at the Wyman’s.
