It is too bad that the Lighthouse owners and Port City Architecture didn’t have a neighborhood meeting before submitting condo conversion plans to the town. I don’t know what good the meetings would be now.

The town, the Trumans and Port City Architecture know what we want: two stories, parking in the back, no office condo, no land swap and no worthless gift of shoreland zone property. They know what we do not want: a three-story multiplex, permission to convert a non-conforming office building into a condo and garages that would have people backing out directly onto Pine Point Road.

I am confident in the town officials and know that they will do the right thing by denying this inappropriate project. Pine Point is a beautiful, quaint village and I hope it will stay that way.
