Historians to hear Crabtree

Allan Crabtree of Standish will speak about Danish immigration into Maine from Canada when the Westbrook Historical Society meets at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, in its headquarters on Dunn Street.

The public is invited.

Chicky’s anniversary weekend

Mike Ryan of Austin, Texas, who has an alternative-country, Texas style, will entertain on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 28, 29 and 30, and on Sunday, May 1, as Chicky’s, 3 Bridge St., celebrates its one-year anniversary.

Chipped Enamel will appear with Ryan on Friday and King Memphis on Saturday. Ryan and five artists will perform on Sunday.
