Beacon Hospice will be offering an evening Bereavement support group starting Monday, April 25, for eight consecutive Mondays ending June 13.
All sessions will be held at Beacon Hospice in South Portland (near the Maine Mall). Sessions will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The group will be limited to eight participants. There is no fee.
Adults who have experienced the death of a loved one will have the opportunity to share and learn with other group members. The group will be facilitated by Heather Thompson, bereavement coordinator at Beacon Hospice. The closed eight-week group is intended to provide a safe environment for sharing thoughts and feelings, expressing sadness and pain, and beginning to find hope and healing.
