A worker walks past a pile of rubble being prepared for burning at the future site of the Mercedes-Benz dealership on Route 1 in Scarborough Friday. The company doing the demolition had a permit from the fire department to do the burning, and sorted for proper disposal all materials that should not be burned, according to Fire Chief Mike Thurlow.
