All South Portland parents are invited to attend a workshop on the federal No Child Left Behind Act and its effects on education, at the South Portland Community Center on Thursday, March 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The speaker will be Deb Dunlap, regional parent involvement coordinator for the Maine Parent Information and Resource Center. Dunlap works with parents and educators throughout Southern Maine, providing support and training on a wide variety of educational and parenting issues.
She will help parents understand the law and its effects on schools and students in Maine.
