As residents of Scarborough, our family would like to join in the congratulations for the Academic Decathlon Team on winning the state championship! The scholars, their supportive parents, and Coach Ellen Ross are an inspiration and source of academic pride not only for Scarborough, but also for the whole state.
Now the team looks forward to the upcoming U.S. Academic Decathlon National competition in Chicago, Illinois. What an honor, and what a challenge. Preparing for the event not only requires the team members to engage in further rigorous academic training, but it is also necessitates considerable fundraising.
