Tim Waterhouse of Scarborough has been named to the dean’s list at Syracuse University, where he is a freshman studying at the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science. He is double-majoring in electrical engineering and computer science.

Waterhouse, whose parents now live in Orange Park, Fla., graduated in 2004 from Scarborough High School, where he was a member of the cross-country and track teams.

He has just finished the indoor track season at Syracuse, and is preparing for the start of the outdoor season. Pictured here, Waterhouse ran the 5,000-meter race at the 17th annual Bucknell Winter Classic in Pennsylvania on Feb. 12, placing eighth in a field of 24 and first among Syracuse racers.
